michael was amazing. his level of knowledge around the menu and cocktails was top tier, he knew exactly what he was talking about and gave some excellent recommendations. for someone who has worked in the industry for 23 years he is truly an incredible worker and deserves a lot of praise for his hard work. the food was amazing, we are leaving satisfied and with smiles on our faces. thank you, we will be coming back :))

We definitely enjoyed our Tomahawk, and the service was amazing! Jonas and Michael were so kind, we’re really grateful and happy with the whole experience. We also loved the live jazz performance, it made the atmosphere even more special.

Amazing food. One of the best meals we have had on the Gold Coast. The steak was cooked to perfection. Michael was our waiter and his recommendations were spot on. He was so knowledgeable about the menu. We can’t wait to come back again.

Michael! We love Michael. We visited for the first time last night and Michael made us feel so welcome. He’s so good at his job. Everything he recommended from his own recipe cocktail to the dessert was delicious and his descriptions were spot on. He was very attentive and hospitable. The food was great but we will go back just to see Michael.

I had dinner at Garden Kitchen and Bar two nights in a row and each time was greeted with a warm welcome and excellent service. The eggplant lasagne on my first visit was exceptional, beautifully served with a rocket salad. The second night I had the pan roasted salmon with baby potatoes, followed by an exquisite chocolate mousse with a zesty orange accompaniment - a real treat especially on my birthday! A big shout out to the lovely waiter, Michael, whose exuberance about the menu helped me make my food decisions! A must-visit eatery if you are staying within The Star complex - and worth travelling to even if you’re not!

Wow what a restaurant. We were in a 4wd but managed to get parking over the bridge cheap enough. We then walked over to the restaurant which was a nice walk. The menu had a great range for all. We started with the chicken dim sims which were delicious and crispy. The fresh bread with the hummus and the prawn roll. Everything was so delicious. We had a great server also. We then had the kingfish crudo, calamari, and the grilled prawns. The calamari was a miss, overcooked and chewey so I don’t recommend that but we spoke with the server about it, the prawns and kingfish was amazing. The prawn roll was so good we then ordered another one each. Will definitely be back to this restaurant.

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the onion rings—they were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Michael’s service was outstanding; he was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

A great moderately priced casino restaurant with ample selection. On the first floor, walk through a vibrant bar where you can sip a choice of cocktails while you wait for a table. The food here is excellent and appropriately priced. We loved the huge grilled prawns start and the corn "ribs" side dish. The steak, prawn risotto and burger were all nicely done. The service was friendly even though it was a crowded evening. Nice place to eat if you're in the casino and don't want to burn another hole in your pocket.

We dined at Garden Kitchen & Bar at The Star Gold Coast and had the tomahawk steak — it was absolutely amazing. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour. It’s something we always come back for and never disappoints. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere with lots of greenery and a relaxed but upscale vibe, making it perfect for a special night out or celebrations. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend, especially if you love a great tomahawk!!
